Langhe DOC Nebbiolo

Langhe Nebbiolo is a DOC wine made from Nebbiolo grapes in 94 municipalities in the Langhe area, very closely related to prestigious DOCG wines such as Barolo and Barbaresco, made from the same grape. The vineyards in the hills around Clavesana and Dogliani are particularly well suited to the production of this wine.

PRODUCTION AREA
Produced with Nebbiolo grapes in the Langhe and Alta Langa areas of the province of Cuneo. The vineyards are situated 250-400 metres above sea level, in calcareous marl soils on land which was once covered by the sea. 

TASTING NOTES
Langhe DOC Nebbiolo has a colour that varies from ruby red to garnet, due to the extraction of the most noble tannins. The bouquet is characterised by soft, delicate and characteristic scents of spices and brushwood. Persistent, savoury, full and enveloping tannins characterise the palate.

BEST FOOD PAIRINGS
Langhe DOC Nebbiolo pairs well with complex stewed, roast and braised meat dishes. It is also excellent with mature cheeses, like Castelmagno DOP from Piedmont.
