Langhe DOC Pinot Nero is the local expression of the grape variety traditionally grown in Burgundy. One of the world’s most widely cultivated international varieties, it gives its best results to those who are capable of listening to it and of taming its complexity and delicacy. This grape is very sensitive to the terroir, extracting the very best from the place where it grows.
PRODUCTION AREA
Pinot Noir adapts well to the cool climate of the Alta Langa. It grows well on the Langhe hills at over 250 metres above sea level, reaching its finest expression in vineyards at over 400 metres above sea level.
TASTING NOTES
Langhe DOC Pinot Nero has a delicate red colour. The nose is dominated by soft aromas of tobacco and smoked spices, which make this wine very elegant right from the start. The palate presents crisp, round tannins that blend well with the notes of ripe and glazed fruit that envelop the mouth.
BEST FOOD PAIRINGS
Langhe DOC Pinot Nero is a wine that pairs easily with any type of dish, from aperitifs with charcuterie and cheeses, to rice and pasta dishes, such as a porcini mushroom risotto, as well as white meats but also fish, such as salted sea bass or fish soup.
