Moscato d'Asti DOCG

Moscato d’Asti is a wine made from 100% Moscato Bianco grapes, grown in over ten thousand hectares of vineyard between the provinces of Asti, Cuneo and Alessandria. Moscato d’Asti DOCG is one of Piedmont’s best-known sweet wines. It has a sweet and aromatic component of the grape which makes it unique. 

PRODUCTION AREA
Produced with 100% Moscato Bianco grapes. The vineyards, which are situated 250-450 metres above sea level, prefer tuff, limestone, sandy and fossil soils of marine origin.

TASTING NOTES
Moscato d’Asti DOCG has a characteristic, bright straw yellow colour. The bouquet is intense and fragrant with notes of yellow fruit, scents of sage, lemon and aromatic herbs. The palate is aromatic and delicately sweet, making it deliciously drinkable.

BEST FOOD PAIRINGS
Moscato d’Asti DOCG is a sweet, light and very drinkable wine, traditionally drunk with desserts, biscuits and cakes. It enhances the flavour of pastries and patisserie and is perfect with traditional Italian Christmas cakes such as Panettone and Pandoro. It is also ideal with soft cheeses, particularly Robiola di Roccaverano.
