Roero Arneis DOCG

Denominazione di origine controllata e garantita

Roero Arneis DOCG is made from the grape of the same name and is one of the most famous and widely consumed Piedmontese white wines in Italy and internationally. It is produced on the left bank of the River Tanaro, in the Roero area. Its name originates from the Piedmontese dialect and indicates an original, rebelliously natured person.

PRODUCTION AREA
Produced with Arneis grapes in 19 municipalities in the Roero area, in vineyards situated 250-400 metres above sea level, in sandy soil with some tuff.

TASTING NOTES
Roero Arneis DOCG has a straw yellow colour with delicate greenish highlights. The bouquet reveals meadow scents with vegetal reminiscences, hints of wild fruit and aromatic herbs like sage, and spices. The palate has a sweet, warm entry, which leaves an open, savoury sensation.

BEST FOOD PAIRINGS
Roero Arneis DOCG is an excellent wine for light, simple dishes, such as pasta with butter and sage, lemon chicken or escalopes. It is also excellent as an aperitif and for drinking with friends, pairing well with charcuterie and fresh cheeses, as well as tomato and mozzarella caprese.
